MSCF Skiing with Maine Adaptive Sports
Shortly after our “Guys Night Out,” MS Cure fund was off to Newry, Maine for our first ski event with Maine Adaptive Sports. MS patients, doctors, family and our team here at MS Cure Fund all came together and enjoyed an amazing day of skiing, snowboarding and even snow-biking at the Sunday River Ski Resort. The day started at 7:00 a.m. with a delicious buffet styled breakfast at the Grand Summit Hotel, where our guests were lodged. After that, we were off to Sunday River Ski Resort!
Maine Adaptive Sports had many options for the patients. Max Michaud, an active participant in MS Cure Fund and Maine Adaptive events, sped down the slopes on her ski bicycle, while Dr. Richard Toran of Newton-Wellesley Hospital enjoyed skiing with patients.
Around noontime, the group enjoyed a lunch together where we all were able to sit down and talk about the day so far with excitement and laughter. Everyone was eager to hop back on the slopes and give it another go.
